About FakeChatMaker
FakeChatMaker is a browser based tool for creating fictional chat mockups for stories, videos, presentations, interface concepts and educational examples.
Why We Built It
Conversation graphics are useful in storytelling and design, but manually recreating message bubbles, profile areas, timestamps and device layouts can take unnecessary time. FakeChatMaker brings those controls into one workspace so a creator can focus on the conversation and presentation.
What FakeChatMaker Does
The site provides customizable chat layouts inspired by familiar messaging interfaces. Users build the dialogue themselves, adjust the supported visual details, preview the result and export a finished mockup.
Who It Is For
FakeChatMaker can be useful for writers visualizing fictional dialogue, video creators building scripted scenes, designers preparing interface concepts, educators creating digital literacy examples and teams demonstrating messaging scenarios without exposing a real private conversation.
Our Approach to Responsible Creation
A generated chat can look familiar enough that context matters. We encourage fictional identities, appropriate permission for any real personal information and clear disclosure when a mockup could reasonably be mistaken for a genuine conversation.
FakeChatMaker must not be used for fraud, harassment, harmful impersonation, fabricated evidence or false accusations. Our Responsible Use page explains these principles in more detail.
Independence
FakeChatMaker is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp, Meta, Instagram, Snapchat, Snap Inc. or the other platforms whose interface styles may be referenced on the site.
